Gift of Buddhist Images to Vietnamese Temple "AP AN THANH" in Vietnam
Luongta from Australia straighten to Vietnam country for offering the Kathina. All the Kathina which he received from his family (sons and daughters) and Buddhamamakas in Thailand and around the world had directly sent to Vietnam country. After that Luongta followed for offering and celebrating the ceremony of MahaKathina on 15th November 2005. All the Buddhist monks in "AP AN THANH" temple and BuddhaMamakas come to enjoy the ceremony beginning at 9.00 AM and finishing at 13.00 PM.
The offering Kathina comprises of two Buddha statues. One is for blessing Buddha made from yellow bronze, 1.20 metre high, 0.9 metre wide and weigh about 350Kg. The other is "Pra Kaew Morakot" and all the money offered for Kathina is 89,000,000 VND. Luongta also offered "AtthaBorikan" and money 2,500,000 VND to another Vietnam temple.
Before offering the Kathina, he went to Hanoi and visited Down 's syndrome children who was victims of toxic chemical weapon during Vietnam war and donated 1,000,000 VND on 3rd November 2005 and then he visited abandoned children in SOS 's children village and also donated 1,000,000 VND.
After finishing offering the Kathina, he went to Ho Chi Minh and visited abandoned children in SOS 's children village and donated another 1,000,000 VND on 18th November,2005.
After that Luongta took a rest and travelled to many places in Vietnam around one week and he left Vietnam and arrived Thailand on 27th November, 2005 to visit his students and his sons and daughters 's family. On 3rd December 2005 he went to Lao country to visit his place of birth and then Luongta came back to Thailand to visit his students again and stayed in Thailand till the end of the year 2005. On 1st January 2006 he was back to Australia.
