The ceremony offering the Gate to Wat Ban Phra Khao, Vientian, Lao

Luongta Chanhphy Manivong, from Australia, came to visit a head monk, Phra Khru Thongsa Amitharath, at Wat Ban Phra Khao, Muang Xaythany, Vientiane, Laos. He organised to build the gate at the temple, and now he has returned to offer the gate.

On the 14th July, 1997, the head monk, Phra Khru Thongs Amitharath, organised for all the Buddhist monks in the capital of Vientiane to come and join in the ceremony conducted by Luongta Chanhphy Manivong. All the monks chanted in Pali during the ceremony. Luongta made up 2 sets of Atta to offer to the temple, In addition to the gate, Luongta also donated 3 million Lao Kip, and 25000 Thai Baht, and US$554. On this occasion Luongta would like to pray to the Triple Gems, the Power of the Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha, as well as the Gods and goddesses, and all the sacred beings residing in the whole universe together with the fruition of his Dhamma practice, to come and shower their blessings to all beings, whether they are animal or human. May all Rupa and Nama beings be happy and free of suffering.

Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu.
